Write to Elwood
Elwood has moved from Rhinebeck, NY to Great Barrington, MA. He no longer uses a land line, so his trusty old telephone number (845-876-2358) of 31 years has been disconnected.
If you want to talk to Elwood, please send an email to info@elwoodsworld.com and ask for his mobile phone. Or send your phone number and he'll get back to you.
For commissions, questions about a drawing, or a note about the artwork you've seen, a short email is the best place to start.
Elwood H. Smith is an award-winning, internationally known humorous illustrator, and his site's contact page invites you to say hello. The quickest way to reach him is by email, and that single address handles everything: general questions, commission inquiries, and requests for more information about a drawing. Because he no longer keeps a land line, a message is the only reliable channel, so anything sent will get a reply and a personal response directly from the artist himself. There is also a path to the portfolio for anyone who would rather browse the work before reaching out.
Behind the drawings is a story of relocation and reinvention: Elwood has moved from Rhinebeck, New York, to Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and his old telephone line of many years has been disconnected. Now the studio is somewhere new, but the tone stays the same as the work itself, warm, witty, and quietly surprising. Whether you want to talk about a commission, ask about a piece in the portfolio, or simply share an idea, sending a note is all it takes, and asking for his mobile number is welcome if a conversation is what you have in mind.
